Filme: O Garoto de Liverpool

Estamos em julho, o mês do rock. E nada melhor que um bom filme roqueiro para comemorar! Minha dica esta vez é O Garoto de Liverpool, filme que conta a história do jovem rebelde John Lennon. Sim, o filme é sobre a adolescência de John e a criação da sua banda, The Quarrymen, que mais tarde se chamaria The Beatles (♥). O filme também aborda a relação de John com a mãe, Julia, com quem ele não teve uma relação próxima durante a infância. Julia incentivou John a comprar seu primeiro violão e deu muito apoio à banda do filho. Um dos pontos mais interessantes do filme é que em nenhum momento ele mostra John como um herói e, sim, como um tipico garoto inglês rebelde de classe média. Um adolescente normal, que só queria ser igual à Elvis Presley. Como se passa na década de 50, no filme aparecem lindos figurinos cinquentistas. Na trilha-sonora temos famosas músicas do estilo rockabilly, o início do rock. Quem é fã de Beatles, vai amar o filme.

Julia bought John's first guitar and she supported the creation of his band. One of the most interesting points of the film is that at no point it shows John as a hero, but as a typical English middle-class boy. A normal teenager, who wanted to be like Elvis. The costume design is beautiful; so 50s. The soundtrack is also stunning. Who likes Beatles, will love this film.
