[002] Alternative to Microsoft Office without sacrificing the familiarity

REASON FOR THE MIGRATION:
The Microsoft Office suite is a great product. Back then, we purchase academic versions of the software. Then, it was decided that we will go for MS Office 365. But MS Office 365 is a subscription based software and our tech team are having problems registering those MS Office 365 licenses.

WHY WPS OFFICE SUITE
Aside from personally using it, the WPS Office Suite (free version) comes with a word processor, spreadsheet, and a presentation application.

Of course, your MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files could be imported to WPS and at the same time it could also be exported to the aforementioned MS Suites.

COMPATIBILITY
The WPS Office Suite could also be installed in any Android devices (Miracast... :D ) and to your Linux boxes as well (This is the Office Suite I am using on my Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop box).

This is the main interface of WPS. You can select which suite that you are going to load.

The word processor of WPS. Looks similar to that of MS Word.

The spreadsheet of WPS. Feels like MS Excel.

This is the presentation software of WPS. Take note that loading your MS PowerPoint files might be a bit problematic because of the templates of MS PP is licensed. You need to adjust your PP presentations to be able to run smoothly with WPS.


OVERALL THOUGHTS:
This is the best alternative to MS Office because of the looks and feel of the WPS interface. Although other free office suits (e.g. LibreOffice and OpenOffice) are also good, compatibility also with MS Office files will blend 98% smoothly with WPS.
